Tomorrow is the last day of 2019. The end of a year always fills me with a mixture of emotions. This past year was a really great one for me but it didn't come without some challenges. In January of 2019, this boutique was still a sparkle in my eye. It is crazy to think that I had placed my first product order and had a live website up and running only a month later. I did my first ever event, pictured above, in April! Crazy. Just crazy.
My friends and family are the main thing that stick out to me when I reminisce on my first year in business. SO. MUCH. SUPPORT. Y'ALL! Many of you placed multiple orders, shared my social posts with your friends and left me glowing reviews. I have never experienced so much encouragement in my life. I have always known that I have the most amazing friends and family, but this year really blew me away.
Not only did you guys offer me so much encouragement but you also made so many things possible. My plan was to use the profits from this business to provide a little extra funding to help others. Because of YOU, I was able to do just that!
I want to share the things that I was able to do this year thanks to your support. I don't share this to boast. In fact, I almost didn't share it because of that reason. But I think accountability is important. I also think that it is a blessing to give and I want to be sure you get to feel that blessing since you are what made it possible.
I didn't hit my actual financial goals for my business this year but I did so much more. With your help, CherryWood Boutique was able to fund the following:
· $100 Donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
· A Photoshoot that allowed me to highlight some beautiful and inspiring ladies in my life and make them feel special.
· Donate Cozy Christmas Socks to A Women's & Children's Shelter (Possibly two shelters! One is in the works.)
· Recognize a sweet friend that went from foster mom to adopted mom (or as I’d like to call it, just MOM)
I realize this is a small start, but it is a start. I hope through new products and offerings that I am only able to grow what we, you and I together, are able to do for others each year. I had several Christmas plans but the season snuck up on me. Oops! I am committing to provide Christmas for at least one child and a senior citizen next year!
I know that you are inundated all the time with online boutiques plus new brick and mortar stores popping up all over the place. I am even more humbled that you chose to shop with me. I hope to continue providing you with products you love and expand my products into other areas as well. I want you to know that I am committed to my vision no matter the size of my business. I cherish your support and the fact that we will hopefully make an encouraging impact in the lives of others.
