How to dress trendy on a budget

I'm at that age in life where many of my friends are young moms or are just getting their financial footing. In this stage, it is hard to justify any unnecessary expenses like trendy clothing. They don't want to lose themselves but they just can't financially stay on top of all the latest trends and spend their money wisely to prepare for their futures.
Does this sound like you? There is good news! This dilemma is half of the reason CherryWood Boutique was born. I have watched a few trends come and go feeling the way I just described. Chevron was all the rage for a bit. More recently, animal print has taken over the fashion world. Everyone is wearing it. You want to be trendy. But you don't want to spend $40 on a top that will be dated in a season or two because you need that money for other more important things. (#adulting. Am I right?)
That is why accessories are the real MVP of your wardrobe. A solid white top and jeans will be a classic for years to come. You can totally change the look of that outfit by changing up your shoes, belt, cardigan or... JEWELRY!
Earrings are my go-to. I rarely leave the house without them. Why? Earrings not only make you look pulled together but they are also quite possibly the cheapest way to add depth to your closet.
Buy a $10 pair of animal print earrings. Wear them ALL the ways with ALL the things. Then, when you're tired of animal print, you can recycle without feeling like you wasted a lot of money and ruined your chances of retirement (I am getting old...).
Accessorizing is truly one of the most affordable ways to keep your closet up to date and your budget on track.
