According to Google, people are actually asking if hoop earrings are going out of style. I think hoops might actually be the most underrated accessory. I don't foresee Hoops ever going out of style. Think with me for a second... They have always been and will always be a simple way to add some instant sass to your look. They can be casual or dressy, basic metal or accented with fun beads! They truly are an earring that can be worn with just about anything and come in all shapes and sizes.
One thing I have heard from many ladies is that they don't prefer hoops because they feel they don't work well with their face shape. Larger hoops, especially, often hit at the cheek bone which is the widest part of our faces. If you love hoops but also share this concern, then there is hope!
The key is in the earring post and connection. Look for a sideways hoop or a post that allows the earrings to swivel or revolve so that the earring isn't forced to face at a direct angle all the time. You might also steer clear from chunky beaded hoops and instead shop for more simple hoops like pictured below.

Don't give up on styles because you think your body won't work with the jewelry.
